3 The Strategy - Working Family Success Network An integrated services approach to help community-based organizations and community colleges rethink how they serve working families through the bundling and sequencing of complementary services and supports in the three key areas:  Financial Literacy  Benefit Access for College Completion  Education & Workforce Development

4 Porterville College Outcomes  Outcomes  Increase academic persistence rates (bundling services)  Increase likelihood of achieving an academic degree or certificate when bundling services  External partners are actively supporting WFSNCC implementation and expansion activities at the college  Increased participation in monthly college and career financial literacy, workforce development, and career readiness courses  Increased campus awareness among students, faculty, staff and administrators about WFSNCC services Research reveals that receiving integrated services are three to four times more likely to achieve a major economic outcome.

7 HOW YOU CAN HELP STUDENTS?  Early Alert Referrals  Patty Serrato, Counselor  Encourage students to attend workshops  JEC Workshops  EOPS Workshops  On-Campus Community Partner Workshops  Offer extra credit for attending workshops  if possible & applicable  Similar to CHAP events

Requests less than 3 days will be considered if schedule allows.
