How QMS started at the University of Eastern Finland? –The University of Kuopio (UKU) received the quality audit certificate of FINHEEC. –The UKU also received ISO9001 certificate for the QMS of its teaching process. –The University of Joensuu (UJO) had agreed to participate in the FINHEEC audit in 2009. UEF began operations in 2010 and was audited by FINHEEC in Dec. 2010. Next audit will be in 2016. 9.6.2016 7

Aims of QMS at UEF –to offer tools for: the continuous development of the main processes of the university; goal-setting and monitoring of the fulfilment of the strategy; –to help: the new faculties and departments to organize and to decide on their new practices. create joint practices and to clarify the management processes; train the staff in new tasks and functions; –to disseminate good practices through quality manuals, audits and management reviews; 9.6.2016 10

Work on QAS at University of theAndes Result 4: Forestry and environmental education assessment and evaluation systems (teaching and learning) for core group teachers, working proposal for evaluation of education guidelines according to the government procedures, and improved support from curriculum and curricula administration Activity: Development of a QAS and process for forestry and environmental education according to the government guidelines and in consideration of international standards with special attention to pedagogical methods and ICT use 9.6.2016 18
