9. 9 Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Act 2007 Article 4 : Disaster means any of these disasters, fire, storm, strong wind, flood, drought, epidemic in human/animals/aquaculture/plants and other public disaster either natural disasters or human – made disasters, accidents or all other incident that effect to life, body or properties of people/the government.

Article 13 specifies that Minister shall have power to control and oversee on disaster prevention and mitigation throughout the Kingdom.

17. 17 Chemical and Hazardous Materials Disaster Goal Government organizations and concerned agencies are able to request cooperation /collaboration from other agencies systematically and rapidly. All agencies concerned are capable to prevent and mitigate the direct effects from incidents and the aftermaths.

20. 20 Operation Steps During Disaster District level implements the District Operation Plan. Provincial level implements the Provincial Operation Plan. DDPM coordinates and report to Pollution Control /Department of Industrial Works/ Office of Atoms for Peace : depends on the situation.
