Teacher: Remember, Jesus walks with us always. Here is his message for us today You shall love the Lord your God with all your hear, and with all your soul, and with all your mind … and you shall love your neighbor as yourself. – Matthew 22: 34-39 Students: Thank you, loving God, for teaching me your Law of Love through Jesus. Teacher: Jesus will be with us today in all that we do Students: Thank you, God, for watching over me. Teacher: Let us now share the sign of our faith All: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen Morning Prayer

Teacher: Let us remember that Jesus has been with us today as we tried to practice God’s Law of Love. Let us listen to his message for us this evening. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you -John 15:12 Students: Dear God, thank you for loving me so much Teacher: Your Son, Jesus, ask us to love others as much as he loves us. We need your help to do this. So together we pray All: Help us, dear God, to love as you do. Watch over us now and for the rest of the day and night. Amen Afternoon Prayer

Teacher: Remember that Jesus will be with us this day. Let us listen together to his Word and keep it in our hearts. “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs” And then he laid His hands on them and blessed them. – Matthew 19:14 Students: Dear Jesus, thank you for blessing the children. Thank you for blessing me. Teacher: Bless these students today, Jesus, in all they do Students: Help me to think of you often today. Teacher: Let us praise God together as we begin our day … All: We are filled with wonder and praise, O God, when we see what you do for us through Jesus your Son. Amen Morning Prayer

Afternoon Prayer Teacher: Let us take time now to talk to God before we leave for the day. God is with us at all times and blesses us this day. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you. Students: Thank you, God, for your blessing this night. Teacher: Lord, watch over us and fill us with your grace. Students: Thank you, God, for putting your love in my heart. Teacher: Let us now pray to God our Father… All: God, our loving Father, we are glad to give you thanks and praise because you love us. With Jesus we sing your praise. Holy, holy, holy are you, now and forever.

Morning Prayer Teacher: Remember that God fills our hearts with joy. Here is God’s world for us today. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. – Psalm 103:8 Students: Dear God, fill my heart with your love and care. Teacher: Let us pray together that God will walk with us in all we do today. May we care for others as God cares for us. Students: Dear God, I will try to treat everyone well today. Teacher: On this new day of life, we thank God for all our gifts and graces. All: O God, you are so kind and good. May we live this day, just as we should. Guide us, help us, show us the way. Thank you for giving us this day. Amen.

Afternoon Prayer Teacher: Thank you God, for your goodness and love this day. Thank you for your words in the Bible that teach and guide us. We love your Word, O God. We want to remember it, to speak it, to keep it in our hearts. All make a small cross on their forehead, lips and over your heart. Teacher: Le us now talk. All: You have been with us in everything we did today and you will be with us in everything we do this evening. Thank you God!

Morning Prayer Teacher: Remember today that Jesus is with us. Let us give thanks together. Teacher & Students: Lord you are Holy; you are kind to us and to all. For this we thank you. Students: Dear and loving God, help me to say “Thank you” often today. Teacher:Help us to be kind to all Students: Walk with me today, dear God, in all that I do. Teacher: May God walk with you today Students: And may God walk with you.

Afternoon Prayer Teacher: Let us take time now to thank God for our day, our joys, and difficulties, our surprises and disappointments.. Students: Thank you God, for all that is beautiful in our world. Teacher: Thank you for daylight and for your Word that lights up our hearts. All: We praise you, O God, for the earth and all who live on it. You love us, O God, and you do great things for us. Holy is your name. Amen

Morning Prayer Teacher: Let us rejoice today that Jesus will be with us in all we do Students: Thank you Jesus, for this great gift Teacher: Let us also remember all that Jesus has done for us. We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your Resurrection until you come again. Teacher:We are filled with wonder and praise, O God, when we see what you have done for us through Jesus Christ, your Son. Student: Help us to remember and celebrate. Amen. Teacher: Thank you Jesus, for being with us always. May we walk wit you this day. Amen

Afternoon Prayer Students: Thank you Jesus for being here with us. Teacher: Let us listen together to God’s Word Jesus said to his followers, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” ~Matthew 18:20 Students: Help me to remember these words, dear God, today and always. Teacher: Bless these students as they prepare to receive Jesus in First Communion. Student: Open my heart to receive Jesus, dear God. Teacher: Send your Holy Spirit to these students. All: Through Jesus, all honor and glory is yours, Almighty Father, for ever and ever, Amen.

Teacher: Let us remember that God has given us the sacrament of Eucharist, the gift of Jesus, who comes to us in communion and lives within us. Students: Thank you, God, for this special sacrament Teacher: We believe that in holy communion, we receive you, Jesus the Bread of Life. We believe that you are the real bread come down from heaven for us. Amen. Student: As I prepare for this sacrament, Jesus, please fill my heart with your love. Teacher: Let us listen now to the words of Jesus. “I am the living bread. Whoever eats of this bread will live Forever.” ~John 6:51 Teacher: May peace be in your heart as you prepare to receive Jesus. Morning Prayer

Teacher: As the time draws near for your Frist Communion, I ask God to bless you with peace, joy and love. Students: Open my heart to your Law of Love, O God. Teacher: I ask God to open your heart to receive Jesus Student: Open my heart to Jesus, O God. Teacher: I ask God to open your heart to this message. Jesus is the Bread of Life who comes to us in communion. He helps us to be both good and holy. Teacher: Loving God, thank you for the gift of Jesus.
