BIRT is an Eclipse-based open source reporting system. In TPM 7.1, this will be replaced with the Tivoli strategic reporting technology using BIRT, an Eclipse-based open source reporting system.  The BIRT Report Engine, an Eclipsed-based tool for viewing reports, is embedded on TPAP.  Reports will be created using the BIRT Report Designer and then imported into TPAP and integrated with TPAP reporting infrastructure.
