“Family Readiness” Joining Community Forces (JCF) Joining Community Forces (JCF) expands on First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Biden’s “Joining Forces” campaign by focusing attention on community-level efforts to support Service Members, Military Families and Veterans. Formerly referred to as “Inter-Service Family Assistance Committees (ISFACs),” JCF focus the efforts of local providers with a common goal: to strengthen the local military community. An opportunity to increase resources and services available to our National Guard, Reserve and Veteran Families in remote locations. With the help of the Department of Defense, other federal, state and local agencies, and non-profit entities, Joining Community Forces: Fosters a sustainable network of local support. Facilitates government, non-government, non-profit, and corporate partnerships. Leverages state-generated content, best practices, and training. Guides community leaders and local commanders towards establishing and sustaining their own Community Forces. Kimberly Violett 512-782-5001 x7784300 kimberly.l.violett.civ@mail.mil
