3 TEXAS AFFORDABLE BACCALAUREATE DEGREE Texas’ first competency-based bachelor-level degree from a public institution Innovative program allows students to accelerate time to completion, potentially saving money Collaborative effort among THECB, Texas A&M University-Commerce and South Texas College, partnering under the College for All Texans Foundation and supported by a $1 million Next Generation Challenges Wave grant from EDUCAUSE Faculty-driven initiative with community and business leadership input 2
