2 What is e-POWER? It’s an online auction for selling renewable electricity We secure the best price for your power It’s easy to get started, and easy to use We’ve been at the forefront of online auctions for over 14 years, auctioning circa £500m a year of renewable electricity and associated renewable benefits

3 Who can use e-POWER? Any renewable generator with electricity to sell, e.g. –RO generators selling power, either with or without the accompanying ROCs –Ex-NFFO generators –Any renewable generator not tied into a long- term PPA –FIT generators with export

4 How to get a PPA – what are your options? 1.Do the rounds of the electricity suppliers and compare their offers 2.Contact an agent who will do the leg work for you 3.OR: Use e-POWER, which automates the legwork via its online auction platform

10 Points to note- The hassle is taken out of the process for you You can be assured of getting the best price on the day You can enter the process at fairly short notice You can set your time period (start date and duration) You can set project-specific reserve price(s) You can choose the month you go to auction (but not the day) You can watch your projects through a viewing window Suppliers see the projects they can bid for through their viewing window The fee for using e-POWER is £1/MWh (subject to a minimum of £200/month for RO projects, £50/month for Fit projects This compares very favourably with other PPAs, which typically cost £2.00 per MWh

14 Getting a good contract – with e-POWER Everyone knows it Tried and tested since 2003 Beneficial to generators because of its legacy Covers all export power and renewable benefits from site Fixed price, predictable and good cash flow Bidder takes 100% of offtake and all of the imbalance risk Generator loyalty: –85% of the independent generators who had a NFFO stayed with e-POWER once their statutory contract finished and, and of the 15% that tried other methods, 90% of these then went back to the auction

15 Getting a good price– with e-POWER Independent consultancy Cornwall Energy says –95 to 98% of full market value, –compared to 90 to 96% for short term PPAs – and 80 to 90% for long term PPAs

16 Why e-POWER gets you a good price Very competitive –20 suppliers regularly take part (22 in last auction) –Average over 10 bids/site (13 bids/site in last auction) –‘Squeezes out’ the best price –Live dynamic process rather than static tender process Supplier friendly too –familiar with auction format and standard PPA –Receive a single invoice for entire portfolio of e-POWER sites –An easy way to achieve a wide portfolio of smaller sites (which has better imbalance risk)
