BACKGROUND Mamee Double-Decker is one of the famous food manufacturer in Malaysia. It is Malaysia food processing, snacks and diary product company which mainly produces and sells instant noodles, snack, confectionery and beverages. They started off with a single product, and consistently grown to various range of products. Today Mamee products are exported all around the world to more than 80 countries and area it serve includes Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and Oceania. Products produced by Mamee are popular and well known to most households especially children.

The company was first founded in 1971 by Datuk Pan Ching Hin. Mamee was incorporated on 3rd August and was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange’s main board on 18th March 1992.As of 2014 the company headquarters is in the Ayer Keroh Industrial Estate in Malacca, Malaysia and it has an office in Subang Jaya, Selangor. As of 2008 it has registered an office in City Plaza in Johor Bahru. Mamee-Double Decker mission is committed to building long-term growth in volume and profit and to enhance its leadership position by providing nutritious food products of superior value. The vision is to be worldwide recognized provider in nutritious food products with our slogan "World of Good Taste".

OBJECTIVES To know how Mamee Double-Decker handle their sales.
To see the efficiency of system that are used by Mamee Double-Decker To come out with suggestions that can improve Mamee Double-Decker system using the theories we have learned.

CASH COLLECTION The returned invoice would be routed to the account clerk in order to update the customer’s account receivable and the payment deposited to the cashier Request for Mamee’s bank account number and afterwards deposit the amount of payment Mamee’s sales person will be sent to collect the cheque personally at the customer’s office

REVIEW Adapted their own system and it has evolved throughout the years to become what it is now Sending their executive level staffs to attend seminar in order to enhance their knowledge alongside improving the company’s system The company’s system is almost complete which give them a good grasp over their sales, invoicing, shipping and cash collection

Helps the company to meet customers’ deadlines, maintaining accounts, updating the inventory level and securing the payment Insufficient control exercised by the company over the course of the sales to cash collection cycle Could potentially disrupts the cycle that may lead to the dysfunctional of daily work process

SUGGESTIONS To complement the lack of control exercised by Mamee Double-Decker over their sales to cash collection cycle, here are a few suggestions by us that could better improve the system: Introduction of barcodes technology Restriction to master data Use of EFT, FDI and lockboxes
