11 ESS-WrUT collaboration history (1/2) May 2013 WrUT responded to the ESS call for expression of interest and indicated interest in contributing to ACCSYS.11: Cryogenics and ACCSYS.11.5 Cryogenic distribution Jan 2014ESS and WrUT initiated cooperation on the ESS Cryogenic Distribution System (phone meeting on 8-Jan) Mar 2014 ESS recognised WrUT as a potential supplier of the major parts of the CDS (meeting at WrUT on 4-Mar) May 2014 Linac CDS was splitinto two parts. WrUT was considered as the main potential in-kind contributor to the CDSs for the elliptical linac and for Lund Test Stand 2 Jun 2014ESS provided to WrUT the specification of the CDS for the elliptical linac (work unit ACCSYS.11.5.2) Sep 2014ESS provided to WrUT the specification of the CDS for Lund Test Stand 2 (work unit ACCSYS.11.5.1)

19 Conclusions CDS for the elliptical linac is a complex cryodistribution system connecting the ACCP with the 21 high and 9 medium beta cryomodules and with the CDS for the spoke linac. The CDS functional baseline is described in the CDS specification, L4 requirement sets and conceptual 3D models. The CDS will be delivered by Wroclaw University of Technology un the scope of Polish in-kind contribution. ESS-WrUT cooperation began in January 2014 and the CDS project scope, schedule and value were agreed in January 2015. The design phase of the CDS project began in February 2015 (Kick-off Meeting held at ESS on 04-Feb) and should be completed in September 2015 (Critical Design Review is scheduled on 22-Sep).
