2. Fact Box On board there was 1,962 passengers on board the Lusitania. The ship set sail on the 01/05/1915. 94 children were on board. There were 764 survivors. 1,198 lives were lost.

3. The Lusitania The Lusitania and the Mauretania were the fastest ships in 1915. The Lusitania left to depart from Liverpool on the first on May 1915. One of the largest passenger ships, its fastest speed was 25 knots. The captains name was Thomas Turner he survived from 1856-June 23 rd 1933.

4. Going Down Timothy Keohane was on watch at Barry's point and saw the Lusitania sink, and fired the launch with her crew on board and was on her way to the scene of the ship wrench. It took eighteen minutes for the Lusitania to sink after it being hit. Three and half hours later Courtmacsherry lifeboat came to save people with no engine power so they had to row, but when they got their were already lifeboats and the ship had gone down.

6. In Memory Of The Lusitania. 100 th Anniversary on the 07/05/15 In memory of the Lusitania the lifeboat crew rowed out to the Old Head Of Kinsale to remember the people who died in the sinking of the Lusitania.
