5 UH-CIRTL Goals 32 (Year 2) and 60 (Year 5) future faculty who have CIRTL Fellow skills 16 (Year 2) and 30 (Year 5) future faculty with CIRTL Practitioner skills who are implementing CIRTL-supported pedagogies and instructional materials to teach diverse communities of undergraduate students in STEM courses. 3 (Year 2) and 5 (Year 5) future faculty who complete and present teaching-as-research projects as CIRTL Scholars in events such as the Effective Teaching Practices Showcase, Future Faculty Teaching Research Symposium, and/or CIRTL National Forum. 6 UH-CIRTL Goals - Learning Community Create programming that will provide instructional training to future STEM faculty, with an emphasis on teaching to diverse learners (learning-through-diversity), building upon and enhancing the UH Center for Teaching Excellence’s Division of TA Resources; Providing an infrastructure and support for future faculty who are mentoring undergraduate students who want research experience; Engaging future faculty in completing Teaching-as-Research projects, including presenting results in local and/or national Teaching Showcase or Symposia.
