11 Increase Traffic Safety  Develop a comprehensive public education and communication plan to improve driving behavior.  Design a data-driven traffic enforcement plan to reduce traffic collisions.

12 Promote Crime Prevention  Develop a plan to increase the number of Neighborhood Watch participants in Brentwood.  Develop a plan to deliver four crime prevention seminars throughout the City.

13  Implement a communications and media strategy.  Conduct Citizen’s Academy. Enhance Public Relations

14 Improve Disaster Preparedness  Conduct one emergency / disaster exercise.  Develop a strategy to increase public access to disaster preparedness information.

16 Establish a Diverse and Balanced Community with Safe and Attractive Neighborhoods and Employment Centers  Prepare a community build out plan for the phasing of future, including, but not limited to, the following sites:  Sunset Road  Balfour Road  Marsh Creek Road  Brentwood Boulevard Sunset Road (looking south) Balfour Road (looking north) Balfour Road (looking south) Marsh Creek Road (looking south) Brentwood Boulevard (looking east)

17 Establish a Diverse and Balanced Community with Safe and Attractive Neighborhoods and Employment Centers (cont.)  Work with the City of Antioch to adopt an updated boundary agreement.  Work with the school districts to prepare a plan for future school sites.  Prepare a plan for future disposition or development of city-owned parcels (i.e., Tech Center, CD Building, etc.).

19 Maintain and enhance Brentwood’s quality of life by developing an economy that is vibrant and diverse. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

21 Create a Business-Friendly Culture Through Commerce Facilitation, Incentives and Technology  Market and sell Brentwood through the “Better in Brentwood” campaign.  Improve the overall identity, brand and signage of the City.

23 Promote Tourism In and Around Brentwood Through Special Events, Outdoor Attractions and Amenities and Recreational Opportunities.  Increase the number of special events in Brentwood.  Develop the “Explore Brentwood” program.  Use public art and banner programs throughout the City.

24 COMMUNITY AND NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES Provide community and neighborhood services to enrich lives and maintain facilities, infrastructure and resources to maximize Brentwood’s high quality of life.

25 Maintain and Operate a Comprehensive System of Parks, Trails and Recreation Facilities In and Around Brentwood  Complete and connect our trails for people and bicycles.  Continue to build parks as the City grows.

26  Partner with community service organizations to expand opportunities for schools, recreation, education, cultural arts and social services in Brentwood. Enhance the Quality of Life for All City Residents Through the Provision of Recreational, Cultural and Social Resources

27 Provide a safe, efficient, sustainable and environmentally sound infrastructure system. INFRASTRUCTURE

28  State Route 239/Tri-Link connector to Tracy  State Route 4  eBART extension  Vasco Road  State Route 4/Balfour Road Interchange Be an engaged partner in regional transportation collaborating with Contra Costa Transportation Authority, eBart, Transplan and other stakeholders.

29 Provide safe and sustainable Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste services for the build out of the General Plan  Expand the recycled water system.  Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion.

30 FISCAL STABILITY AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT Providing high quality services that are cost efficient in a fiscally responsible and transparent manner.

31 Use Social Media to Increase Our Service Levels and Engage Our Community  Implement a social media program. Use of platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest
