6 Types of Elections General Elections – November Even Years o Presidential and Statewide o City, Schools and Local Offices appear on the General Election ballot o In a General Election voters vote regardless of their political party Primary Elections – June Even Years o Similar to a General Presidential and Statewide o Both Types Voters receive Ballot Information based on their residential address… o except in a Presidential Primary your party registration impacts which Presidential Candidates will appear on your ballot (We will go into more detail about Presidential Primary Elections) Special Elections – Only available on specific dates o Some reasons including, Vacancies, Measures, Recalls, etc… 6

17 What happens if NPP Voter hasn’t contacted our Office Vote-by-Mail VotersPolling Place Voters o Vote by Mail Ballots have been Mailed and are being delivered o However, a 2 nd ballot may be available, we VOID the 1 st ballot (Form Required) o Talk to us today, call or come to our office and we can help you through the process o Also, you can complete a form(s) today and we can mail your replacement ballot ASAP o Polling Place Voters requesting to Crossover on Election Day, MUST indicate one of the 3 crossover parties (American Independent, Democratic, or Green) on the Roster, the book they sign their name at the polls o Polling Place Voters requesting to vote (Green, Republican, Peace & Freedom) MUST reregister in the party they wish by Monday, MAY 23rd 17
