3 Joint international projects and the exchange and sharing of knowledge among professionals. Aim: development of higher education between academic institutions of EU countries and their partners. ALL THE DYNAMICS OF EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP FOR AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT COME INTO PLAY. TEMPUS: Trans-European Mobility Scheme for University Studies

4 DOIT’S OBJECTIVES

5 Foster and strengthen the sharing of knowledge relating to the dynamic processes of Multicultural Education and Cultural diversity training among professionals involved in education.

6 Construct and Develop a Principle Multi- Dimensional Program that promotes curricular reform for multicultural education and cultural diversity training in Academic Institutions in Israel, Georgia and consortium EU members Objectives :

7  Test the pilot programs in DOIT’s Institutions.  Integrate the program within their curriculum.  Disseminate the Results to other institutions. OBJECTIVES:

8 Develop and create a portal that facilitates the quality of work, communication, materials, dissemination and sustaining of the program among members and beyond. OBJECTIVES:

9 COURSES: develop and piloting WORKSHOPS FOR FACULTY To learn to use the material Children and Human Rights through education OUT-OF-THE CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES that promote inter-cultural relations. TEACHING MATERIAL PROGRAM is developed through international collaboration.

11  Professional Educators of Teachers will have strategic models for multicultural educational training and developing cultural competency among students of education and teachers.  Professional Educators of Teachers gain life-long skills which they pass on to their students and teachers (domino effect).  Universities and Colleges that train educators will have programs that provide their students with pedagogical tools that promote multicultural educational values and behaviors. 27 LEADERSHIP Coordinator was the initiator of the DOIT and is committed to its programs. Delegated tasks to Working Team Leaders who are given clear responsibilities and maintain communication with the Leader. Working team leaders manage their working teams so tasks will be accomplished by deadlines set. Transparency and good communication that is visible to all.

34 DEVELOPMENT Quality Assurance of DOIT The monitoring of our work (logistics, communication, co-operation and collaborative processes and overall management): Conducted observations of working sessions, Created questionnaires, Gathered data and Described data relating to the overall functioning, management and communication within DOIT. 37 Activities to Date that have contributed to DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM MEETING #1: October 24-28 2012 Tbilisi CONSORTIUM MEETING #2: March 11-14 2013 in Landau Periodic Israeli Meetings and Periodic Georgian Meetings. NUMEROUS Skype meetings of working team leaders with members of their team. Numerous SKYPE meetings of Coordinator and team leaders. Meetings that contribute to development and our results to date:

38 Main Results Achieved To Date (October 15-May 4 th ) Sustainability Processes to Date Sokhumi State University has used courses developed through DOIT to create a new minor discipline in “Intercultural Education” which is presently being assessed for program accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. They are integrating courses next year in their Master’s Program of History.

41 FUTURE PLANS:Dissemination and sustainability through the portal Portal is the central meet point for dissemination within the consortium. The launching of the PUBLIC Portal will be the key point of dissemination beyond DOIT’s consortium. Commitment to keep the portal up and running after the life of the project (continuation program is in the planning).
