12 New Directions Improve Achievement Compliance/Regulatory – Coordinated Program Review, 504 Accommodation Plans, Corrective Actions (Packet Provided) Six year scheduled Program Review of all school districts in the Commonwealth Requirements selected for review are those closely aligned with the Massachusetts Education Reform Act of 1993 to promote student achievement and high standards for all students

13 Compliance/Regulatory (Cont.) 504 Accommodation Plans Process and Compliance Overview being provided to all faculty in a training – New ADA Amendments Act Identify 504 Coordinators in each building Accountability by all Principals Reviewing all non-eligibility decisions for 504 from 2011 forward Corrective Actions Southbridge Special Education Department is responding to two corrective action complaints filed against the District involving compensatory damages in dollars and in compliance/process issues
