2 - 1 - ISAN’S MISSION What is ISAN? The International Student Alumni Network is an informal group of international alumni and former students. We are recognized as a Special Interest Group of the Alumni Association. What is our mission? To ensure a vibrant international student presence at the College of Wooster. Why were we formed? To support Wooster as it seeks to: Compete for international students in a tough admissions environment Retain international students from orientation to commencement Provide insight to international students seeking professional and academic opportunities post-graduation Enable international alumni to network with each other and to reconnect with the College Improve the quality of life on campus for international students

3 - 2 - ISAN’S INITIATIVES & ACHIEVEMENTS Admissions Initiative Programs Personalized letter writing campaign to admits Meet & greets between alumni and admits in their home countries Key Achievements 60 alumni reached out to 150 students over the last 3 years Initiative 1 What’s Next? Outcomes brochure featuring select international alumni International AARs Career Development Initiative Series of articles in COSMOS from alumni in different careers Mentorship program that connects international students with alumni Online chats with alumni to answer questions LinkedIn group for networking Monthly articles published in COSMOS (19 to date) 10 mentorship pairs established We will be announcing a date shortly. 86 members in our LinkedIn Group 2 International student resume books Career workshops on campus Career “treks” to specific cities Retention Initiative Partnership with Women’s Advisory Board to funnel contributions to Hardship Fund Facebook group for community building Student outreach events Scholarship fund endowed 189 members in our Facebook Group Homecoming Career Panel 3 Active involvement with diversity initiatives on campus We are always looking for ideas!
