Husband and Wife Husband – “And said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?” {Matthew 19:5} Wife – “For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. Baptism and Salvation Baptism – “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” {Mark 16:16 } Salvation – “There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” {1 Peter 3:21}
