3 The very first people were Nomads,

4 this mean they wanderer from place to place, looking

5 for food and sleeping in tents and caves

7 But around 5,000 BC, farming began in

8 the middle east in an area call the Fertile Crescent

10 The first crops were wild wheat and barley,

11 they used it to make bread

13 At the same time people started to tame animals.

14 The first animal to be domesticated was the dog,

16 then the goat, sheep, pigs, cattle and horse

17 used for meat, milk, wool and to carry things

19 Once people knew how to farm, they no longer need

20 to move around, they began to settle down in villages

22 They learn new skills as weaving and pottering

24 they started to trade with other communities.

28 Slowly, small villages grew into towns

29 The oldest town found is Jericho

30 Jericho grew rich and for protection

31 built a massive stone wall around the town

33 Catal Huyuc was the largest of the early towns,

34 more than 6000 people lived there.

38 The people walked over the flat roofs of the houses

39 to go inside their owner house.

40 The walled towns located along the rivers

41 Tigris and Euphrates formed the first civilization
