2. BASICS The anaconda is a common name for the largest south American snake of the boa family This is one of the largest and most powerful snakes in the world. They kill their prey by squeezing them until they die and then they eat them. Anacondas eat about 40 pounds a day. Anacondas are nocturnal. They are mainly found in the rivers of Brazil.

4. unique Something unique about an anaconda would have to be their jaws. They have loosely constructed skulls and jaws, with some bones held together by skin. This allows the snake to spread its jaw very wide.

6. HABITAT Anacondas live in wet tropical regions. Like rivers and lakes.
