However it is still a colonial architectural jewel which causes a lot of tourist attraction. It also contains three volcanoes and Fuego releases smoke daily.  It is located in the central highlands.  It matters because it is a very historical site with wonderful architecture.

9.  Lake Atitlan  One of the most beautiful lakes in the world and it was formed when the lid of a volcano was blown off during an explosion. Just like Antigua it is also surrounded by three volcanoes.  It is located in the scenic highlands of Guatemala  It matters because it is a fantastic Guatemalan landmark.
