4 LLIN Ordering & Distribution to end 2010 Quantities (same as summary)436,704 Procurement datesProcurement will be in Nov. 2009 Expected deliveryThe consignment expect to be in the country by April 2010 Planned Campaign Date (if applicable) Two weeks mass distribution campaign the last week and first week of July and August 2010 BCC / IEC (dates, types) Will commence in November 09 through out using audio visual, distribution of reading materials and awareness meetings with community and individuals. Community mobilization (dates, types) Will commence in November 2009 and run through out to December 2010 targeting more the malaria endemic regions in the country. Distribution (locations, dates, quantities, etc.) Mass distribution in all 34 health districts country wide for two weeks (the last week of July to the first of week of August 2010), a total of 436,704 will be distributed country wide. Distribution mechanisms (routine, integrated or stand alone campaign, house to house etc.) One mass distribution campaign at points to be identified (July-August 2010) and thereafter continue as routine at no cost through constituencies councilor offices and ANC clinics. Monitoring and evaluation (dates of surveys, types, etc.)

6 Case management ACTs required (Quantity = same as summary. Please explain how calculated) ACT that are required 299,084,300 tabs for adults and children are included. This calculation based on the total number of cases expected to be treated in a year (if the 124,618 are cases expected/year x 24 tabs as a dose + 10% (children they are included in the expected cases to be treated/year, if on tablet is to be break either in half or quarters to fit the doses required for children). RDTs required (Quantity & please explain how calculated) RDTs required 3,115,460 the calculations was done as the above for ACTs, however in terms packs Namibia will requires 124,619 packs of 25 tests. Procurement schedulesBoth ACTs and RDTs the procurement will be in September 2009. BCC / IEC (dates, types)November 2009 throughout to December 2010 countrywide and will be carried out by conduct audio- visual shows, awareness meetings with communities, individuals organizations, sensitizations with influential leaders and distribution of printed IEC materials Distribution MechanismsThrough targeted areas such as schools, health facilities, border post and all recognized entry points and to individual community settlement offices, post offices and other public places. Drug Efficacy Monitoring (dates, how) Conducting efficacy studies in the selected health facilities as sentinel sites starting December2009- April 2010 (during the malaria season) Monitoring and evaluation (dates, types) Through supervisory visits health facility to facility looking into the availability of all commodities, verify the prescriptions and the procedures of RDTs usage and this will be cared out between November 2009 and April 2010.

Distribution (Locations)The distribution of IRS supplies to the malaria endemic regions will be in September 2010 Training (dates)All IRS trainings are planned to take place in September 2010 (from 2 nd – 4 th week in all nine regions). BCC / IEC (dates, types)August –December 2010, Mass media, Audio-visual, individuals, campaign meetings and distributions of leaf lets and posters Spraying (dates, locations)The actual spraying activities starts October 2009 to January 2010(one spray-cycle in malaria endemic regions) Monitoring and evaluation (bioassays, insecticide resistance etc) The monitoring of spray quality-bio assays will be carried out in January to February in all nine regions that carry out. Insecticides resistance will be carried out March to mid April 2010.
