1. Scrotum Sac that holds testes outside the body wall. This provides a lower temperature for sperm production.

4. Vas Deferens Tube that carries sperm out of the testes Vasectomy – procedure where the Vas Deferens are cut to prevent sperm from leaving the body. Method of preventing pregnancy.

7. Seminal Vesicles Gland that secretes fructose (sugar) which provides energy for sperm

9. Prostate Gland Secretes an alkaline (basic) substance. This neutralizes the acid in the environment that is harmful to sperm. Produces semen to nourish and carry the sperm.

Fluids That Help Transport Sperm Semen – mixture of fluid and sperm The fluid in semen provides a watery environment for sperm to move.
