1 CASTING CALL! GET READY TO PREP FOR AUDITIONS!

2 CASTING CALL! Your favorite actor / actress on your favorite TV show is also the producer of the show. Your favorite actor / actress just fired the actor / actress who plays their sidekick on the show. Your favorite actor / actress (and producer!) is looking for a new sidekick. He / She is demanding that actors and actresses who want to audition write him / her a letter first to convince him / her that they should get the role. YOUR ROLE: Write a business letter that will persuade the producer of your favorite TV show to hire you as the new sidekick on the show. Refer back to the business letter handout that your agent provided to help you with your formatting. For a better chance at getting an audition, use your celebrity name on the letter instead of your real name.

3 Use the first letter of your first and last name to create your celebrity identity. Write it down! How would your character add to that? How would your character assist or help your favorite actor’s / actress’ character on the show? Research the TV show! You want to make yourself seem knowledgeable and worthy of an audition for and position on the show. * The producer’s biggest pet peeve is when business letters he receives aren’t formatted correctly. * He also hates spelling errors.
