3. 1. All guns are always loaded! 2.Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. 3.Keep your finger off the trigger, until your sites are on target. (see figure) 4.Be sure of your target.

4.  Pick up the gun by the handle  Keep the muzzle pointed away from you  Firmly grasp the handle end, keeping finger off trigger.

5.  Push button for magazine release (figure 1)  Pull back slide all the way (figure 2)  Check if chamber is free of ammo Fig. 1 Fig.2

6.  Keep muzzle pointing down  Keep finger off trigger  Walk don’t run  Place in lockable storage place (see figure)  Keep ammo in a separate place

7. Keeping a firearm in the home can be safe. by following a few safety guidelines.  Treat every gun as if it were loaded.  Know where the gun is pointed.  Finger off trigger until the target is sighted.  Be sure of your target.
