2 Geographic site  Wielkopolska (The Great Poland) is situated in the western part of Polish.  Warta river flows through Wielkopolska.  Wielkopolska has no mountains, but it has many lakes. http://upload.wikimedia.org

3 Natural robe Warta is 808 kilometers long. This is one of the longest Polish river. Wielkopolska lies on the plain. Its landscape is dominated by forests and lakes.

4 Forests Forests cover more than 25% of Wielkopolska. These are both coniferous forests, and deciduous, mixed, however, prevail. Puszcza Notecka is the largest forest in Wielkopolska.

5 Lakes The largest lake is Lake Powidzkie Wielkopolski. It is 1036 hectares. In Wielkopolska there are over 800 lakes! However, many of them occupies less than 100 hectares.

6 Protection of nature In Wielkopolska, 1 national park and 12 landscape parks have been created. http:zpkww.pl

9 Culture LICHEN SANCTUARY The temple is located in Lichen Stary, near Konin. 1,5 milion pilgrims come here every year! There can be found: Wonderful image of Saint Mary, the Chapel of the Holy Cross... Many people pray here to Our Lady of Lichen.

10 Culture It was built at the turn of the VIII or IX century. In 1195 it was taken by Cistercians. However, after many years the Salesians of Don Bosco began to live and work there. THE MONASTERY IN LĄD

11 Culture THE CASTLE IN KÓRNIK The building is over 500 years. Its attractiveness lies in the fact that it retains the former interior spaces of the XIX century. Near the castle there is a park covering about 33 hectares.

12 Culture ARBORETUM IN KÓRNIK There are many beautiful species of plants. This place was launched through many generations, from the XVIII century.

13 Culture THE MINIATURE OPEN-AIR MUSEUM IN POBIEDZISKA This object has the miniature models of historical buildings and interesting parts of towns and cities in Greater Poland. Elements are made with attention to detail, scale 1:20. Mock- ups represent churches, palaces, castles...

14 Culture ZAUROLANDIA Zaurolandia a dinosaur park. Reptiles straight from the many millions of years before Christ! You can stand eye to eye with a huge Tyrannosaurus, Diplodocus and herbivorous see pterosaur! The park is located in the area Rogowo.
