8.1 & 8.2 Quiz Interpret a confidence level Interpret a confidence interval Assess conditions and discuss why some conditions may not be satisfied (both proportion and means) Discuss the impact of increasing/decreasing confidence level and increasing/decreasing sample size on width of interval Calculate and interpret a 1 proportion z- interval

According to a poll of 100 students conducted by Student Services, calculated with 95% confidence, is that the proportion of ATM seniors that plan to attend college is between 0.657 and 0.725. 1.Interpret the confidence level. 2. Interpret the confidence interval.

Suppose you know that the distribution of finishing times for a certain Sudoku has a mean of 17 minutes and is skewed left. You take an SRS of 18 finish times from this distribution and calculate the mean finish time. Discuss whether this study meets the necessary conditions for constructing a confidence interval. If you think one of the conditions has not been met, what additional information would be required or what change in the study would you recommend?
