PAGE: 5 METER READING REPLACEMENT UNC TPD J 3.7.3: “In respect of the most recent Valid Meter Reading provided to the Transporter in accordance with paragraph 3.4 or 3.5 a User may at any time secure and provide to the Transporter a revised value of such Valid Meter Reading ("Revised Meter Reading"). “ UNC TPD J 3.7.4: “The Transporter will only accept such Revised Meter Reading where the Meter Read Date of such Revised Meter Reading is the same as or later than the Meter Read Date of the most recent Valid Meter Reading recorded by the Transporter.”

PAGE: 6 REPLACEMENT METER READING Based upon the current UNC a replacement meter reading is: Any meter reading taken on a date the same as or later than the most recent meter reading. Therefore the replacement meter reading does not have to be taken on the same date. EDF Energy is looking to maintain the same principle for meter reading replacement but allow the replacement of a meter reading when a subsequent read has been submitted.

PAGE: 8 PROPOSED SOLUTION Create new meter reading type of Historic Revised Meter Reading An Historic Revised Meter Reading can replace a meter reading were a subsequent meter reading has been submitted provided that the date is later or the same as the meter reading it is replacing but earlier than the subsequent meter reading. The Historic Revised Meter Reading will be available for AQ Amendments and AQ Appeals The original meter reading will be used for any adjustments. This will be a temporary solution until system developments allow full retrospective updates including reconciliation. A User Pays Meter Reading Replacement report will be available to Users on a User Pays basis.
