3 Responsibilities of District Services Public Relations – Dan Taylor Assist Clubs in creating greater awareness of Rotary, the Rotary Brand and their club contributions Training and Support of PR Chair s Create PR Tool Kit  Sample press release  Sample letters to the editor  A complete listing of all media outlets and their contacts in the District  Support clubs with PR Chair guidance  Build media relationships

5 Responsibilities of District Services Public Image, Marketing and District Events – Randi Skinner Marketing and Social Media Training Rotary Brand Promotion and club support Support Webmaster, Squeaky Wheel Editor and Story Editors in promotion and publication of District Wide events Preparation of Marketing & Social Media PR Tool Kits Work to develop a district Blog Work with Membership to develop promotion tools and support clubs in use Assist clubs in developing and promoting their Clubs brand - at AG Round Tables? District event promotion Helping Clubs Make Rotary Attractive

6 Responsibilities of District Services Fund Raiser Support – Ann Pape Club Training for development of Clubs Fund Raising techniques Survey clubs – Types of Fund Raisers and Best Practices Develop Best Practice Guidelines for Various Types of Fund Raisers Create a Fund Raiser Tool Kit Assist in developing a Fund Raiser Data Base Prepare suggested best practice guidelines If requested… Provide support to clubs requesting assistance Coordinate marketing implications with Randi & Dan Money does not grow on trees but by sharing information we can give it some direction

7 Responsibilities of District Services District Member Data Programs – Ben Mullikan Development of Data Bases that will assist District Clubs 1.Upgrade District Speaker Bureau Data Base 2.Creation of a Fund Raiser Database with best practice guideline links 3.Development of a Live Digital District Directory 4.Work with Dan Taylor to develop a Media Contact Database 5.Develop on-line Awards Data Base and Reporting System Make Databases available as part of District Website Tool Kits Implement Report Back Features to rate speakers Implement Report Back Features to establish best practice techniques for fund raisers, public image materials and marketing Work with Awards Chair to develop on-line reporting Club Award Recognition Criteria

8 Responsibilities of District Services Rotary Club Central DLP Training Pets Training District Assembly Identify Area Governor – Club Central Champions  Provide assistance to AG’s and Presidents as requested

9 Coordinators – Squeaky Wheel Editor – Diana Saleh Quarterly publication & 5 Event Special Editions – Site Page Coordinator – Craig Martin Work with Directors and Committee Chairs to make sure district Site Pages are up-to-date – Story Publication Coordinators - Karen Bullock & Allison Peterson Work with West and East Clubs Story coordinators to prepare and publish Website and Squeaky Wheel Stories from the clubs in each area Act as conduit to report and celebrate media placements to District Leadership and RI Preparation of Feel Good Stories on similar Rotary Projects that are done by several Rotary Clubs for news outlets

10 Coordinators – District Awards – Marilyn Pokorny Work with Committee to establish 16-17 Awards Criteria Work with Ben Mullikan to develop an on-line Awards recognition tool – District and Club Member Support Coordinator – Katryn Rotter Provide training and Support for club secretaries Maintain district directory and work with Ben Mulligan to develop an on-line downloadable edition that is updated when clubs or districts change leadership during the year – Speakers Bureau Coordinator – Derrick Kinney Maintain existing Speaker Bureau Data Base Work with Ben Mullikan to develop an easily updateable Speaker Bureau Data Base that has a report back and ranking feature

11 District Services Goals Public Image  24 Media Placements in 16-17  Establish a network that can help train clubs on effective PI communications  66% have an up-t0-date on-line visual presence via websites, blogs, social media, brochures and promotional materials  85% of all clubs using constantly the new Rotary Branding materials  Including logo’s, themes, brochures, letterheads, etc that are available in the RI and District Websites  Provide training to help Rotarians understand the importance of consistent brand usage and application  Increase by at least 50% the consistent use of social media to promote Rotary  Area Based Training  Use of RI Learning Center courses and media training kits

12 District Services Goals Other District Service Goals  Quarterly Update and Review of Speaker Bureau information and development of a ranking tool  Implementation of a 16-17 District 5790 Directory by District Conference  Develop an automatically updated version for website access  Implement an on-line Awards Recognition Reporting Process that can be available to clubs in the district website by July 1, 2016  Increase participation in Rotary Club Central Reporting  Increase goal setting clubs to 65 clubs (was 50 in 2015-16)  Increase reporting on Rotary Club central by 25 % using March 31, 2016 as the baseline  Increase the number of Presidential Citation Eligible clubs by 50%
