Transport is the way a cell moves things through a membrane.

3 Function of the Cell Membrane:
The cell membrane separates the cell from its environment (what surrounds the cell) The cell membrane is the “Gatekeeper” of the cell—it controls the flow of materials into and out of cell. Cell membrane helps cells maintain balance in the cell
