 Marquee Tool ( M ) - The following tools allow you to select regions in your image to alter, copy, and move, and let you select rectangles and ellipses..  Select a part of an image you are working with arranged form such as rectangular and elliptical.  Move Tool (V)- the move tool moves an entire layer at a time. When you have selected this tool, click on a layer in the layer pane, and then click and drag on the image. -Move the image on a selected layer to other part of canvas you are working.

 Lasso tools (L)-The lasso selection tools are similar to the marquee tools, except that the lasso tools give you ultimate freedom in terms of the shape of your selection. There are three different lasso tools: ◦ Lasso tool, which allows you to draw a selection by dragging the cursor freehand. The selection will close itself. ◦ Polygon Lasso tool, which creates a selection composed of straight lines that can be as short as one pixel. ◦ Magnetic Polygon Lasso tool works a little like a combination of the other two lasso tool. As you drag, the selection maps to natural borders in the image.

 Crop Tool (C)  The selected area will be surrounded with a blinking dotted line.  can be used to crop an image to ‘delete’ or ‘hide’ the image data that falls outside the selected crop area.  The Text tool (T) is one of the most powerful tools in your toolbox because it opens the door to a multitude of pre- designed font libraries.

 The Eraser Tool (E) is basically a brush which erases pixels as you drag it across the image. Pixels are erased to transparency, or the background colour if the layer is locked.  The background eraser tool allows you to remove the background colour from an image or layer.  The magic eraser tool erases all colours within a set tolerance.

 The Paint Bucket Tool fills the continuously colored area with the forground color or pattern.  The Gradient tool creates a gradual blend between multiple colors.
