6. What is the job or function of the lens? To magnify the image.

9. What does the cell membrane do? It controls what enters/leaves the cell.

10. What does the nucleus do? It controls the cells activity.

11. What does the cytoplasm do? It is a jelly like material where chemical reactions take place.

13. What does the cell wall do? It Gives the plant cell its shape.

14. What does chloroplasts do? It makes food by photosynthesis. (Contains chlorophyll - green chemical)

15. What does the vacuole do? Storage(Space filled with sap)

16. Why does a microscope need a heavy base? To stop it from toppling over.

17. What does the iris adjuster do? Controls the amount of light getting to the slide.
