What is the reason for installing hardware – P1 By Ridjauhn Ryan

introduction In this presentation I am going to be talking about the reasons for installing hardware explain certain points

Faulty components Before you can repair a piece of electronic equipment, you first have to find the faulty components on its printed circuit board, or PCB

Maintenance A maintenance management system is a computer tool that corporate managers use to improve operating activities over time

Increase speed Remove spyware, and help protect your computer from viruses Free up disk space Speed up access to data Detect and repair disk errors Learn about ReadyBoost Upgrade to Windows 7

Increase capacity Many manufacturers increase capacity through expensive and time consuming new equipment purchase but there is a better way OEE helps manufacturers expose capacity lost to equipment inefficiency. sometimes reducing downtime, improving performance or improving quality is enough to regain lost capacity OEE = Overall Equipment Effectiveness

Increase reliability Reliability is used to describe the overall consistency of a measure. A measure is said to have a high reliability if it produces similar results under consistent conditions

Compatibility Backward compatibilityBackward compatibility, in which newer devices can understand data generated by older devices Compatibility cardCompatibility card, an expansion card for hardware emulation of another device Compatibility layerCompatibility layer, components that allow for non-native support of components Compatibility modeCompatibility mode, software mechanism in which a software emulates an older version of software Computer compatibilityComputer compatibility, of a line of machines Forward compatibilityForward compatibility, in which older devices can understand data generated by newer devices License compatibilityLicense compatibility, of software licenses Pin-compatibilityPin-compatibility, in devices that have the same functions assigned to the same particular pins

conclusion I have spoken about the reasons to install hardware and explained certain points

What are the implications of installing a hardware

introduction In this presentation I’m going to be talking about the implications of installing hardware

Training needed To train people it will be very expensive It will also be very time consuming it may take longer depending on how quick your trainees pass the training. You want people who are already trained to allow them to instantly work for you that will save you time and money

Compatibility This will cause problems simply because all hardware aren't compatible with each other but finding hardware that are compatible with each other isn't as hard as it might have been many years ago since we have gained forums, blogs and other types of social chat rooms it has become a lot easier to get answers to their questions Compatible usually refers to apple software with apple hardware, Microsoft software with Microsoft hardware Etc. it is highly unlikely that you would be able to make foreign software compatible to Microsoft hardware

Decommission Decommissioning is a formal process to remove something from active status Decommissioning is a going to be a major issue purely because you cant decommission hardware simply by throwing it away you have to destroy it in a certain way to avoid any legal exposure both public and private organizations are looking to solution providers for guidance in the development of responsible hardware lifecycle management

Service level agreement The agreement between the user and computer company that own the computer, which means it is against the agreement for the user to alter any settings that the company have set on the computer if the user alters any settings it'll get them in trouble because the user doesn’t officially own the computer they're only renting it for a period off time

Conclusion Now you’ve learnt a few implications of installing hardware and the processes behind each of them
