Nodal ICCP Availability Report Ken McIntyre
2
Presentation Recap ICCP Availability Requirement ERCOT Reports to be posted
3
Recap ICCP Availability Requirement ICCP links must achieve a monthly availability of ninety-eight (98%) percent, excluding approved planned outages. Availability will be measured based on end-to-end connectivity of the communications path and the passing of Real-Time data. A link will be considered as available when at least eighty-five (85%) percent of the data defined on that link is successfully transferred to ERCOT with a valid or manual quality code.
4
Recap ICCP Availability Requirement ERCOT has ability to enter planned telemetry outage times Need to develop process for TSP/QSE to notify ERCOT of telemetry outages ERCOT to apply better point filter ERCOT to develop ICCP only report
5
Reports to be posted ERCOT will ‘approve’ and post three reports to address the ‘intent’ of this requirement The three reports will provide data for NDSWG to help support a telemetry standard revision Three supporting reports are: 1.Individual Point Availability report (existing) 2.85% availability for 98% of time report (existing) 3.ICCP Link Up/Down report (new)
6
Points for Moving Forward Review this requirement as part of the NOGRR025 review process Use the data/reports ERCOT is providing as a starting point Avoid adding or changing the requirements that would cause major system change efforts (cost) ERCOT still investigating alternate measurement for this requirement (system change/cost)
