2. Explanation Godly people are tired of: –Too many playing church –They have “church”anity –Think that Sunday AM is the minimum requirement for eternal life –Dull, boring, lifeless, hum-drum, ho-hum worship services

3. Explanation We have spent too many hours in the pew Dreading every minute of it Some Christians have developed strong muscles in their eyelids God had a purpose for the church

4. Some People’s View God looked down at His creation He saw that man was enjoying life He decided – “Man is having too much fun.” He said, “I will start a church.”

5. Are You Ready - - For this church to be what God wanted it do be? Are you praying, planning, working toward this goal? To make the sacrifices needed in: –Time, work, energy –Money, involvement

6. Are You Ready - - For meaningful worship? –Uplifting, encouraging, positive –Sing with spirit and understanding –Prayers in faith, no doubting –Communion that reflects our devotion to Christ –Sermons that motivate us

7. LET’S IMAGINE - - Not wanting the preacher to quit Worship that is warm and cheerful Singing that rattles the rafters True, genuine fellowship Turning routine communion into meaningful worship Changing cold, formal, insensitive people - - into warm, tender, caring, and compassionate

8. LET’S IMAGINE - - A family atmosphere Every service is a family reunion Elders BEGGING you to STOP giving Souls being saved - DAILY Having to go to two services each Sunday The elders trying to figure out where to put the overflow A church of 1500 (that is ½ of Pentecost)

9. I don’t blame them I too, am tired of “church”-anity OK – I admit it – not every sermon is a gem Not every song service is awe inspiring But – we are trying
