Summer Reading 2014 Warrior Run Middle School 7th and 8 th Grades

How it works Sign up in the library. Check out up to six books from the library. Set a reading goal for yourself. Keep track of how many minutes you read each day. Try to reach your grade goal – 5000 minutes! Reach your grade goal and be recognized as a “Distinguished Summer Reader!” Come to our pizza party in September to celebrate the Distinguished Summer Readers.

Important Dates May – Sign-ups in the library May – Instructions provided on how to submit minutes read in Google Drive May 27 – Summer read officially begins September 9 – Summer read officially ends You have 107 days to read 5000 minutes! That’s 45 minutes a day! You CAN do it!

May Sign-up in the library Worksheet for tracking: – minutes – personal goal progress – grade goal progress – books read Submit minutes in Google Drive –

May Make sure you have any books you want checked out from the library Log in to Google Drive to make sure you know how to track everything See Mrs. B with any questions

May 27 Start reading! Keep track of your minutes! – Submit minutes in Google Drive – – The form will automatically calculate the minutes at the bottom Read 45 minutes a day or more to reach 3000 minutes!

September 9 Summer reading ends! Finalize everything in Google Drive Did you reach your personal goal? Did you reach your grade level goal? Did you have a fun summer?!
