My Planet Report EARTH OUR HOME PLANET

Earth was named after Earth was named after the goddess of Earth.

Earth’s temperature The average temperature of Earth according to NASA figures is 15°C. The hottest temperature ever recorded on our planet was 70.7°C in the Desert of Iran in 2005. On the other end of the spectrum, the coldest temperature recorded on Earth was in Antarctica at -89.2 C. If it were not for the natural greenhouse gas effect of our atmosphere, our planet would plunge to a chilly zero on the Celsius scale.

Size of earth Earth Jupiter How small is Earth compared to Jupiter. How big is Jupiter compared to Earth.

Space From space Earth looks like a blue ball of land.

Miles long Earth is 7,926 miles long

Number of moons Earth has only one moon

What is earth made of Earth is made of rock and water.

Earth from space

Does earth have rings Earth did have rings!

size This is the Earth’s size with all the other planets.

Rotation Earth’s rotation takes 364 and one fourth to orbit around the sun.

appearance This what Earth looks like.

Would a human survive on earth. Yes, Of course Earth is the only planet, with human species.

Earth is the only planet Earth is the only rocky small planet that had rings, one million years ago.
