Blueprints

Definition: a reproduction of a technical or engineering design

Components that must be included on a blueprint 1)Name of project 2)Names of engineers 3)Date drawn 4)View (ex: top view, cross section) 5) Dimensions to scale 6)Labels – ex. measurements next to drawings 7)Volume formula and equations 8) Key for blueprint symbols Always goes in bottom right hand corner

Shapes Blueprints Each group will complete a blueprint of 6 shapes: cube, sphere, cylinder, rectangular prism, cone, and rectangular pyramid. Scale should not be 1:1 (ex. One box = 1 cm) Increase or decrease the scale appropriately (ex. 1 box =.5 cm or 1 box = 3 cm) Make sure you have a top and side view for each shape.
