Objective  This Conference will discuss the role that Internet of Things (IoT) in dealing with development challenges; and Creating a smart world that facilitates sustainable economic development along with a high quality of life within smart sustainable cities.

Nature of Event  Internet of Things (IoT) is a paradigm which includes a widespread “smart” environment of devices or things, connected via wireless and wired connections. This network of “things” is designed to provide an exemplary medium within which the components are able to interact with each other and coordinate with other things or devices to deliver services with the aim of improving the overall quality of life (QoL).  The role of the urban stakeholder is pivotal for IoT deployment. Everyday urban operations and creation of development strategies are expected to drive the implementation of the IoT. In this regard, cities present an ideal platform for IoT research, based on urban needs and subsequently imbibing them into solutions presented by IoT.  The Conference will be held in conjunction with the International IT Fest that will take place on 19 April International IT Fest

Target Audience  This Conference will bring together smart city stakeholders, managers and engineers working with IoT applications, service providers planning on delivering IoT solutions, and policy and standards makers.  It will assemble IoT experts from industry, government and academia.
