Sewer System information Meadowlark Reclamation Facility (MRF) Treats up to 5 MGD of Title 22 recycled water. Carlsbad and Olivenhain Municipal Water District’s purchase 100% of recycled water for resale. Encina Wastewater Authority (EWA) Regional sewage treatment/disposal facility. Vallecitos owns treatment capacity of 7.54 MGD in addition to solids handling capacity for all District sewage flows Sewer Mains 240 miles of sewer ranging in size from 4-inches to 42-inches Majority of the sewer is VCP and PVC Outfall Approx 8 miles of sewer (pressure and gravity) from District to EWA Lift Stations LS1 – Diverts up to 2,200 gpm for treatment at MRF LSM – All flows from LSM Community to MRF, 1,792 gpm capacity Questhaven (LS3) – Takes all flows from southeast portion of District to MRF Montiel LS – Small LS east of Nordahl Road
