WHO European Centre for Environment and Health ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEM AT THE FOURTH MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH Environmental Health Indicators: The DPSEEA framework

WHO European Centre for Environment and Health Environmental Health Indicators: Air Pollution  Constitute important information stream in evaluating health effects of environmental pollution as well as policies. Pollutant emissions:  WHO EHIS focus on: exposure and health effects (‘downstream’ information), and also actions. EHIS AT THE FOURTH MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH

WHO European Centre for Environment and Health EHIS AT THE FOURTH MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH  Necessary to have information on emissions together with all the models to link it with population exposures. Pollutants release and transfer information  In the case of POPs and other toxic substances, just the information on emissions serves a warning signal.

WHO European Centre for Environment and Health  The UNECE conventions, related to them protocols and the pollutants release and transfer registers (PRTR) are very important mechanisms to ensure regular and harmonized national reporting and access to information. Pollutants release and transfer information THANK YOU
