Volk Optical SLT Lens Distributor Product Presentation December, 2009

SLT Lens Lens designed primarily for selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) treatment of glaucoma Lens competes with Ocular Instruments Latina SLT Gonio lens Lens completely meets requirements of SLT treatment guidelines and can be used in place of Latina lens Specifications: magnification 1.0x, laser spot 1.0x, facet angle 63º, contact diameter 15mm Lens can be used for all other trabeculoplasty procedures e.g ALT, MDLT, PLT Link to lens page on Volk Optical website

SLT SLT is a relatively new laser procedure to lower IOP in glaucoma patients SLT is replacing Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty Circular green laser treatment spots 400 microns in diameter are applied to 360º, 180º or 90º of the trabecular meshwork (TM)

SLT treatment lens guidelines SLT lens should have unity (1x) magnification with the laser treatment spot fixed at 400 microns to cover the whole width of the trabecular meshwork. SLT lens should not distort laser beam so that treatment spot at the TM is circular. Lens should allow clear visualisation of the TM The Volk SLT lens meets all of the above guidelines and may be used in place of the Latina lens

SLT Lens Features Lens has 1x magnification Curved upper lens surface ensures laser beam profile is circular at TM Large internally reflective facet provides unmatched view of the angle All internal surfaces except internally reflective facet are blackened eliminating light scatter Lens may be used for all other trabeculoplasty procedures e.g ALT, MDLT, PLT
