I Ethan Ashford Inventions-wheel, sailboat, cuneiform

Inventions The inventions of the wheel is a popular invention. The wheel is like a car. It was on things like a chariot and more. We use it today on a car that helps us get around too. The wheel took many steps to make and it still does but it does take many steps still. The wheel took six steps to make we might use more but their steps were longer and harder than ours today. Later when the wheel was invented the wheel got rubber tires so it was easier to move. That’s all about the wheels invention.

Inventions The invention of the wheel is similar to life today because we still use the wheel but on cars so we get around a lot faster then they did. it is also similar to life today because we still build our cars like they built their chariots and stuff. we also use the boats still to. We still use them to get around in the water and travel to different places. Another thing that we still use is a writing system. They used cuneiform writing when now we use English, Spanish, and Japanese and more so we carried on the cuneiform writing.

Inventions

Other inventions There are other inventions that people made like sailboats. The made sailboats because they had to go up river to trade. When they are near rivers they couldn’t walk up the stream to trade so this was a faster way for them to trade with other tribes. They also made it with a special material so it could float. They also made cuneiform writing. That is the first writing system that was invented. The Sumerian's wrote this but not everyone knew how to read then. So they also had scribes that would read and write this for the king or for someone else in the higher social class. Cuneiform writing was also invented so people could write things down and they didn’t have to remember it to pass it on. Cuneiform writing was also use d to write laws. Those are some other inventions.

S Ethan Ashford Sumerian day life

Sumerian day life The topic I choose was the Sumerian day life. People back then had slaves but the slaves had many rights to borrow money an things. The lived in houses made of reeds. Later their houses became made from mud-dry bricks but stone wasn’t erected there. Most of their houses were made 1 story high but had 12 rooms and that included the servants quarters. The building walls were white inside and out for cleanness the rich people might have had private chapels on their property. That’s what the Sumerian day life was like.

Sumerian facts Sumerian day life is similar to life today because we still live in houses. We don’t only live in houses we live in brick house to but today it is erected. Another thing is that today we still have rich people. Today they might not have a private chapels. Another thing we still do today is grow crops. We still farm and grow crops so we call eat and have our fruits and vegetables. We also still make inventions like the did the wheel and things. Today we have more electronics so our inventions are easier to move and use. Math is something else that we do the same but today our math is a lot easier and less complicated.
