Nature Bridge April 18 th -21 st, 2012

DAY 1 We got there around 4:00, after hanging out in the gym, getting ready. After we got to prince William, we met our instructors and then got/dropped off our stuff in our cabins. Then we got together, and played a game called “SPLAT!” that our “Principal,” Jen, taught us. Next we ate dinner in the dinning hall, which was salad, chicken, beef/brocile, stir fry, and brown rice. **all of the stuff was super duper healthy…….After dinner, we all went into the “Craft Cabin” and talked about constellations. We acted out a skit, and I was a vain Queen! We also did a “night hike.”Next came a snack, and then at 10:00- lights out. (My cabin, Bailey, Stephanie, kaylee and I stayed up till about 10:30)Got to get ready for tomorrow!

Day 2 I woke up, did yoga, showered, breakfast, and then hit the trail. My trail group was.. Stephanie, Claire, Noah, Brian, Harrison, some girl I don’t know, me, Rachel(left the 2 nd day),Bagwak, Mrs. Fessomon (chaperon) and our leader, Laura. Bagwak is our team mascot, a rubber chicken. We are called the “Crazy Chickens.” So, we hiked, and then journaled, and ate lunch, hiked, played a game, hiked, got back, rec time, “evening activities (leaf sketches),” dinner, more “evening activities” (Skits about history!!), showered, bible study, bed. Whew! All of this had NO TIME to go to our cabin, except for when we showered, bible study, and bed!!!

Day 3 Got up, dressed, organized a bit, breakfast, talked with a park ranger about deer and was on our way!! This was a cool day, because the “Washington Post” was following us around interviewing us about the experience. They are going to do an article!! So, we hiked down to some water falls, did the pH and looked for invertebrates, then ate lunch. We hiked some more to an old pyrite mine site, and took the water sample there. Also, there were not at all as many invertebrates there, because of the pollution. Next we hiked back, “evening activities,” Dinner, Camp fire- SO funny! Showered, bible study, and bed. Awesome!

Day 4 I woke up, packed, break fast, cleaned cabin, had a lesson with every one, looked for trash, lunch, said good bye to them, got on the bus, came home…….and that’s the end!
