European telecom chiefs makes plans to make roaming cheaper – Roaming: the usage of a cell phone in other countries Roaming is very expensive, even text messaging is costly Countries refuse as they suspect companies will get revenues from elsewhere – “In the current economic climate governments should be working to encourage investments”

WHERE? Europe

WHEN? 28 November, 2008 Roaming prices will be lowered – July 2009

WHY? Shows concerns over charges Indicates that Europe still holds enough income to travel sufficiently Connects to the curriculum: – The rise of internationlism

HOW? Makes me feel aloof from the European situation where they are lowering prices when the world is raising prices.
