2015 It’s the beginning of a new year! I wonder, “What all is in God’s heart for this year?” I do know this: God is. God loves for us to seek him. God rewards those who seek him. God is seeking us, and others, also. God wants to seek others through us.

9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ —to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11( NIV1984 )

Philippians 1:9-11( NIV1984 )

We envision Mt. Vernon Christian Church as a friendly, growing congregation with a thirst for righteousness, experiencing God’s love and kindness; sharing Jesus with those He places in our lives, both next door and around the world; and developing vibrant ministries that engage people in personal growth and expand God’s kingdom.
