© Metadata Technology Session Objectives At the end of this session you will: –Know the SDMX model of a metadata structure definition –Understand the techniques to identify the structure of metadata –Identify the concepts in a simple metadata set –Be able to develop simple metadata structure definitions using SDMX tools

© Metadata Technology Reference Metadata We have seen how data values are limited to where they belong –Series key (usually qualified by time) Data attribute values are limited in where they belong –Observation value –Series key –Group key –Data set Metadata is everywhere, but –it must be metadata about “something” what is the “something” how is it identified –it comprises concepts and how are they structured The Metadata Structure Definition answers these questions Advance release calendar is only one possible example
