ADHAN Muslim Call to Prayer

Arabic: Allahu Akbar! Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah. Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah. Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulu Allah. Hayya ala al-salh. Hayya ala al-falah. Allahu Akbar! La ilaha illa Allah

English: God is the Most Great! I bear witness that these is no God but Allah. I bear witness that these is not God but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to Prayer. Come to salvation. Come to salvation God is the Most Great. God is the most Great There is not God but Allah.

 Wudu: This is a special washing done before prayer. It has nothing to do with being dirty. Wudu is intended to make the person fit to worship Allah, who is holy.

 Rak’ahs: a set pattern of prayers. When a Muslim prays, they do no just make up prayers. Two rak’ahs are made at morning prayers, four at midday and in the afternoon, three in the evening and four at night.

 A rak’ah includes several different positions. The Muslim stands, bows, kneels and touches the ground with the forehead. Different parts of the prayer are said in each position.

God is most great

O God, glory and praise are for you, and blessed is your name, and exalted is your majesty; there is no god but you

 Glory to my lord, the highest
