S UPERSTITIONS !

W HAT IS IT ? A superstition is a belief that a particular thing, event or circumstance holds some kind of significance that something going to happen (bad or good) even though it’s not based on knowledge or reason. This belief can be based on fear, ignorance, trust in magic, coincidence, or a prior experience with a similar situation.

W HICH ONES DO YOU KNOW ? 1. It is good luck to spit on a new baseball before you use it.

2. It is bad luck if a black cat crosses your path.

3. It’s good luck if you find one with four leaves.

4. It’s good luck to find a penny, heads up.

5. It’s good luck if a dolphin follows your ship.

6. It’s good luck to hang a horseshoe above your door.

7. It’s bad luck to walk under a ladder.

8. It’s good luck if a butterfly lands on you.

9. It’s bad luck if you say “Bloody Mary” 3 times in a mirror

BUT….if you’re NOT superstitious…..……

10. A rabbit’s foot is considered to be lucky.

11. It is good luck to throw salt over your right shoulder.
