Land Fever: Georgians wanted LAND! Domain- land that belonged to the gov’t. Lottery land west of the Oconee. YAZOO LAND FRAUD: -Four land companies bribed the gov’t to Sell them 50 million acres. -Yazoo river-land west of Ga. to the Miss. -Given to settlers in land lottery.

-Bill was repealed. Legislators thrown out of office, records burned, money returned to state treasury. -Ga. Seemed to be in a 19 yr. Dispute. Gave up or ceded land west of the Chattahoochee river. Lost land and money. (Lead to “Trail of Tears.”)
